Interns
The Christian Counseling Center has had interns for many years. We are honored to host several graduate level student interns most semesters! Interns are mostly doing co-therapy with Keith or Landon but will also do some sessions on their own, Here are the folks interning fall semester of 2025:
Jane Mims
Jane Mims is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is on track to graduate in the spring of 2026. She is working toward LPC-MHSP licensure in the state of Tennessee. Jane is also a certified executive coach with a professional background in corporate training, sales, marketing, and journalism. In addition, she is a certified yoga instructor, and meditation teacher and leader. Jane brings a holistic, client-centered approach to her work, integrating mind-body practices and her diverse professional experience to support clients with insight, empathy, and practical strategies for growth and well-being.
Loye Ellsworth
Hi, I’m Loye—like Joy, but with an L (and an e). I’m married to Brian, and we have two wonderful kiddos. I’ve followed Jesus since I was nine, and my faith shapes how I see and love people. I value connection, vulnerability, honesty, and fun, and I believe every story matters.
I’m currently earning my Master’s in Counseling at the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. Using the Townsend Model—built on grace, truth, and time—I aim to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, understood, and encouraged toward meaningful growth.
Charli Sanders
Hi, my name is Charli, and I’m currently completing my graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health at Oral Roberts University. I am working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and am grateful for the opportunity to serve at the Christian Counseling Center of Bartlett as part of my internship. My heart is to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families with compassion and hope, offering support that blends professional counseling with Christ-centered care. I believe healing and wholeness are possible, and it’s an honor to journey with others as they take courageous steps toward both.
When I’m not counseling, I enjoy spending time with my family and horseback riding. I have a special interest in integrating Christian counseling with horsemanship as a future area of practice, drawing from the many lessons that come from being connected with God’s creation, ourselves, and the people around us.
Jonathan Colvin
My name is Jonathan Colvin, and I am the Youth Minister at Goodman Oaks Church of Christ in Southaven, Mississippi. I am working to complete my graduate education in Counseling, with a specialization in Marriage and Family, from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. My dream is to be licensed as a Professional Counselor and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I want to hopefully work non-profit for a congregation as a minister and a counselor for the churched and the unchurched. I am very excited about having the opportunity to serve at Bartlett Christian Counseling in my practicum for my Master’s Program at Geneva. I would like to work with adolescent and young adult individuals, couples, and family units. I believe that every person needs a little help in some way. I hope to specialize in therapeutic techniques such as trauma work, brain spotting, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems theory. I want to help individuals reconnect within themselves and find as much healing as possible. Therapy has changed my life. I truly hope to simply shed light on how having a little faith in trusting the hard work of the therapeutic process can help someone encounter God and His gift of grace at the cross of Jesus. This is where we can all find complete healing.
My wife, Hannah and I have been married for 15 years. We have an 8 year old son, Jeremiah and a 6 year old daughter, Norah. I enjoy working out, Spartan racing, rapping, reading, music, watching shows, and engaging people. This is truly a dream come true to enter into the professional world of therapy.
