Flora Johnson, M.S., NCC

After enjoying a successful and rewarding career in air traffic control, Flora retired in 2018 to pursue her calling as a counselor. She cares deeply for people and desires to compassionately serve and support others in achieving emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Flora recently graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MS). She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC).  She is pursuing Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Mental Health Service Provider (MHSP) status under the supervision of Landon Self, LPC-MHSP.

Flora works with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, divorce, stress, and life issues. Her diverse life experiences enhance her educational knowledge and have strengthened her empathy and compassion for others. She utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches that are collectively designed to customize treatment goals and outcomes specific to each client’s psychological or behavioral concerns. Flora is trained in EMDR which is used to help process trauma.
