Landon Self, LPC-MHSP

Landon attained his Masters of Science in Counseling degree from Freed-Hardeman University in 2010. He worked at Lakeside Behavioral Health System as a therapist, and later as a Program Manager for the West and Total Recovery Program units at Lakeside until he left to begin working in private practice in 2015. In 2016 Landon began facilitating a specialized Grief & Trauma Intensive group as a part of the Lakeside Behavioral Health outpatient program. 

Landon’s faith is integral to him and he invests in friendships and mentors who encourage, challenge, and nurture his relationship with God. He meets his clients wherever they are at in their beliefs of faith. Landon and the client work together to find the best approach of implementing their faith with therapy work.  Landon treats individuals 18 years and older and couples in his private practice office. The problematic areas he treats often are depression, anxiety, stress, bipolar, addiction, codependency, and trauma. He utilizes evidenced based theories and treatment such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
